The MPPT controller is a multi-stage solar battery charging controller with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology. Its main advantages lie in how the controller is controlled. The controller uses microprocessors to control the charging.
The controller compares the battery voltage with the solar panel voltage and then calculates the point where maximum current can be extracted, adjusting the voltage to the battery accordingly. When conditions change, a new point is calculated to constantly maximize the output power from the solar panel.
Compared to a conventional (PWM) pulse-width modulation controller, an MPPT controller can increase the output power by 5-30%. The increase in output power can be affected by factors such as the condition of the solar panel, humidity, and the intensity of sunlight on the panel. The controller is for wall mounting.
The connection terminals allow for the use of thicker cables, thereby reducing losses in the cables.
